Scholarships

The ringing of the final bell before Summer signals not just the end of the school year, but the beginning of a time when at least 8 million of our children are left instead of being a time for growth and opportunity, the weeks of vacation following the school year are the for these are the days when the children are most likely to commit or be the victim of a crime. For many others, Summer vacation is simply a period of idle and when opportunities for growth and exposure to new experiences are squandered.

Unfortunately, there is a chronic shortage of affordable Summer programs available to serve our children.

You Can Send a Kid to Camp.

Your $250 donation Can Send a Kid to Camp. Your gift combined with matching money from JWB and United Way, will allow a disadvantaged youth to attend our 10 week Summer program and become a club member for an entire year. This child's Summer will become one of opportunity, growth and supervised activity, instead of wasted, idle time with a potential for trouble. Boys & Girls Clubs give disadvantaged youth access to positive growth experiences and opportunities they might otherwise not have access to during the school year as well as the summer months. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your contribution is tax deductible as allowed by law. For more information contact us at 727-546-1032.

Boys & Girls Clubs provide a safe place to learn & grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs & character development experiences; hope & opportunity.
